Product Review by Wendy McCance

I was given an opportunity through Influenster to do a product review of Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum.  I’d like to note that I was given a free sample and that any information provided about the effects of this serum are my personal thoughts alone.

I was excited to try out this anti-aging cream because I am always on the lookout for the latest and greatest new formula now that I am getting older.  I have always had a lotion that has been a favorite of mine, so it would be interesting to compare the two.

When I got the anti-aging cream in the mail, I was immediately impressed with the bottle.  It does look pretty cool.  After reading the directions, I found that I would put the lotion on once a day in the morning or before bed at night.

My routine has always been to put lotion on my face as soon as I get out of the shower, so I swapped out my normal lotion and began using the lotion from Cindy Crawford instead.

Right away I was impressed at the way the lotion absorbs into your skin.  You only need one or two pumps of the lotion to cover your face (I used two).  There is no greasiness what so ever and the smell is okay and doesn’t overpower.

That’s it.  That’s all that impressed me about this lotion.  Granted I haven’t finished off the bottle and maybe at some point I will see a noticeable difference, but the lotion left my face looking like there was no moisture in it at all.  I looked like I had powdered my face because of the dull look of my skin.  I also noticed I could see more wrinkles than I had noticed before.  Sadly, I felt like my skin looked more aged each time I used the product.

I began to try the lotion at night.  I figured it’s great that it isn’t greasy and who cares what I look like when I get into bed.  I just haven’t seen even a slight improvement.  I was seriously disappointed.

The lotion I do love is Aveeno Positively Radiant lotion.  I see a difference in my skin the moment I put it on.  My skin looks dewy but not greasy and I do look more youthful.  It minimizes wrinkles and fades brown spots which I have.  I have used this product for years now and haven’t found a better lotion yet.

Ultimately, Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum sells for $39.95 for a set of 5 items.  The directions say it takes 8 weeks to see a noticeable difference.  I was only given the serum so who knows what results might occur if I had been able to use the complete kit.  Honestly, if I was offered another try using all of the products, I would pass.  It just didn’t impress me at all.

The Aveeno Positively Radiant lotion is what I will be sticking with.  It costs on average $7.00 and is totally worth it.  Your skin will look younger, more radiant and any blotchiness is minimized.  I love it so much that I have been offering it in my Happiness Store  in the beauty section since the store first opened almost a year ago.

Bottom line, save your money.  I never saw any results by using Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum.

  1. Thanks for the product review, Wendy. Living in a dry climate, I’m always looking for a good, inexpensive moisturizer for my face. I’ll have to give Aveeno a try. Have a great weekend.
