Repost from Oct. 26,2012

When I started blogging, I knew nothing about how to promote my blog.  i wasn’t the most tech savvy person, but I was determined to figure it all out.

If you have any type of website and are looking to advertise it, the sites I am about to share with you will help you gain a much broader audience.  Every time I write a post, I am sharing my post with numerous social media sites.  I am getting my name out there, I am sharing information, and I am getting additional business.

Not all of these sites will work for every type of website.  You have to understand who your audience is and where your information is most appropriately put.  That being said, I hope the information I pass your way will help you in attaining your goals.

Great Places to Share Your Information:

twylah.com
quora.com
digg.com

Ping-o-Matic.com

  1. Hi Wendy. I have visited your blog a few times (I found you from Beverly Harvey’s blog ‘moggiepurrs’) and I just wanted to thank you so much for this great advice and ideas for generating more traffic to our blogs. I have been blogging since January and have been ‘flying by the seat of my pants’ technically speaking! I have signed up to follow you also so that I don’t miss any more of your great posts. Thanks again 🙂

  2. Hi Wendy! It’s been a while since I’ve been here and I’m sorry about that. Been super busy and moved this weekend. Hopefully things will settle down soon and I’ll be a regular again. I always enjoy your posts. This one had great information. I use some of these sites but not all. I will have to check things out more.

  3. I remember this post. It is just as relevant today as it was when you first posted it. I would also add Google+ to the list. 🙂

  4. Wow! I haven’t been here since you “remodeled”. Looks sharp!

As always, Wendy, thanks for your informative and supportive info. Tech
savvy is always important, but you’re also highly original, creative and hardworking. (Hmmmm, the very things I need to look into.) 😉

    Thanks again!
