Introverts vs Extroverts the Happiness Factor

I have often wondered if there is a difference in the happiness of introverts compared to extroverts.  From what I’ve seen, introverts because of their shyness or maybe preference towards a quieter lifestyle depend more on themselves.  They seem to be more self-assured and aware of what their interests are and how to enjoy their own company.  The downside is I’m assuming a loneliness from lack of social interaction.

Extroverts seem to always be on the go with many friends and a variety of social activities to keep them busy.  The downside seems to be the jumpiness that comes from free time.  It seems that many extroverts don’t know how to enjoy their own company and when there is a break in the action, they tend to get depressed and feel left out.

Please understand that these are extreme randomizations and of course there are many introverts/extroverts that have found a comfortable balance and are just fine.  Out of curiosity I have put together a few questions to see if I could shed some light on the happiness of introverts vs extroverts.  Please take the poll above.   I’ll report back with the findings of this unofficial study.

    • I totally agree with your assesment. I have also felt that introverts are more sensitive to what’s around them. Perhaps a bit more creative and more aware of the feelings of others. I’m really curious about the way true extroverts feel and hope to get some comments in regards to their experiences.
